Manchester United Football Club (nicknamed "The Red Devils") are based at the Old Trafford stadium in Manchester. The original shirts were yellow/gold and green. In 1902 when they changed their name to Manchester United, the clubs colours became red shirts, white shorts and black socks which has not changed for over 100 years. Away strips are usually white shirts with black shorts and white socks, but other colours have been used. In 1903 to 1916 a blue and white striped shirt was often used. An all black kit was used in 1994 and 2003 and in 2000 a navy blue shirt with silver pinstripes was worn. In 2002 a reversible shirt, white with black sleeves and gold trim on one side, and gold with black trim on the other side was introduced to commemorate the 100 years since the club changed its name to Manchester United. Man United's third kit is traditionally all blue however a yellow kit was worn in the early 1970s.
